Asia Pacific Youth Entrepreneurship Programs

Partnership with Youth Organizations
In 2007, Enterprise Asia partnered 2 youth organizations; ie: AIESEC and Young Professionals Association of Malaysia. These partnerships were developed as we believe that the members of these organizations could greatly benefit under our Youth Entrepreneur Program which offers a series of entrepreneurship programs that encourages and promotes entrepreneurship amongst graduates and youths.
AIESEC
AIESEC is the world’s largest student run organization providing an international platform for young people to discover and develop their potentials. They are present in over 1100 universities in over 100 countries and territories. To promote and encourage entrepreneurial spirit among graduates, Enterprise Asia held dialogues to find common goals and entered into a strategic agreement with AIESEC outlining 3 key initiatives for 2008:
- Participation in AIESEC international internship program
- Under this partnership, Enterprise Asia will offer internship opportunities to graduates from all over the world for a period of between 2 to 18 months. During this period of time, the graduates will directly involve in Enterprise Asia core activities of promoting entrepreneurship. This would enable the graduates to experience and hopefully instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in them.
- Participation in Youth Entrepreneurship Summit
- Enterprise Asia will enlist the participation of AIESEC members in all future events held under the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit. This involves training, seminars, competitions and all other entrepreneurship development programs.
- Career and Training Fair
- Together with our partners, AIESEC members will be given the opportunity to co-organize the 2008 Career and Training Fair. This would offer direct exposure and learning experience to AIESEC members in organizing large scale event.
Young Professionals Association of Malaysia
Young Professionals Association of Malaysia (YPAM) is a non profit organization that offers professional development, networking and community development opportunities to its members. YPAM encourages and promotes lifelong personal and professional development in the corporate sector together with fulfilling its obligation towards social and community development. YPAM seeks to create a dynamic environment where its members have opportunities to network with and seek advice from fellow professionals.
Enterprise Asia partnered YPAM as a platform to reach out to young working adults. A strategic agreement was entered into with YPAM. Key initiatives to be conducted within the next 2 years are as below:
- Sponsorship of seminars
- Enterprise Asia will sponsor a series of seminars on entrepreneurship to be organized by YPAM.
- Participation of YPAM in youth conference
- We will promote the participation of YPAM in future youth conferences, seminars and industry dialogues.
