Set to be the largest gathering of entrepreneurs with over 1500 delegates, the AEF will be an annual gathering of all Asian business leaders, government leaders, and entrepreneurs to the set and steer the entrepreneurship direction for Asia as well as to re-energize and revitalize the Asian economy through multilateral dialogues and positive action.
Over 1200 top business leaders and entrepreneurs have been awarded the prestigious Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards since 2007 in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and China. The APEA programme continues to expand to other Asian countries in 2011 in our continuous effort to recognize and honour individuals who have shown great entrepreneurship spirit in leading, growing and contributing to their organizations, communities and countries. Year 2012 will see the expansion of APEA into Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Middle East to build a network of over 2000 award winning business leaders and entrepreneurs from across Asia.
The Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards program (AREA) recognizes and honors Asian businesses for championing sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship in the following categories: Green Leadership, Investment in People, Corporate Governance, Health Promotion, Social Empowerment, SME CSR and Responsible Business Leadership. The Awards is held in four sub-regions of Asia, namely, South East Asia, Eastern Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Ceremony will see over one thousand attendees, including business and government leaders, diplomatic representatives, social and community leaders, local and international media.
In 2008, Enterprise Asia has started off a pilot project on youth entrepreneurship with a selected group of students from University in Beijing, China together with AIESEC in China. With the success of this pilot project, we continue on our efforts to engage with more youths from universities, high school, rural areas and to expand our Youth Leadership Congress in other locations in China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand through 2012 – 2013.
