NOMINATION FACTS
There is an in-depth search and selection process for nominations for the Awards composed of primary, secondary, and tertiary research by Enterprise Asia’s research division.
Every year, Enterprise Asia trace and records more than 120,000 companies, across 24 major industries in 36 countries to identify best practices, growth patterns, business excellence, and responsible business ethics of companies within Asia.
Industry experts and market participants then assimilate data from secondary research to determine best practices in the industry. This serves as a testimony to pre-qualify an enterprise and/or entrepreneur for the awards.
All collaterals submitted by nominees, and information derived by analyst are collated to permit the quantitative and qualitative audit by the appointed Official Auditors, Judging Panel and International Advisory Council.
Anyone who is associated with a successful entrepreneur can encourage them to enter. This includes employees, customers, company advisors, family and friends. You may also enter yourself or your own company.
Finally, nominations are analysed to verify that the entrepreneur or the company possess evident entrepreneurial spirit with proven track records, and prevails over the stringent criteria set as below:
- Evident business growth

- Innovation of products and services
- Technology advancement
- Investment in people
- Practise of responsible entrepreneurship
- Leadership qualities and entrepreneurial spirit

How to Submit Your Nomination
Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting the Secretariat, or fill up the online form. Awards for individuals can be submitted by the nominee or by an authorized proposer. Please note that Special Achievement Awards is by invitation only and no nomination is accepted. Should a nominee be interested in taking part in this category, they may be invited by the Organising Committee to submit necessary supporting documentations.
If you feel that the nomination is of extraordinary and unparalleled merit, you may also propose an additional Category 3 Achievement Sub-category. Your proposal will be reviewed accordingly prior to submission for the consideration of the Panel of Judges.
The APEA are granted at the sole discretion of the awards Panel of Judges who include market-driven, customer-centric business, academic and political leaders and audited by the appointed Auditors. In the event that the Panel of Judges decides that there is no worthy achiever in any category, the particular category may not be awarded.
Winners will also be eligible to participate in the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Forum (APEF) 2011 and have full access to all activities and networking sessions organized or hosted by Enterprise Asia.
Eligibility
The award is open to any owner or CEO of any business enterprise and the nominee must be either:
- Owner-manager who is responsible for the company’s day to day performance.
- Founder of the business who retains a substantial percentage (20% or more) of the company’s equities.
- CEO of the company (with or without equity interest) for 3 years or more and has improved the company’s financial performance since taking over.
