A regional award for outstanding entrepreneurship, APEA is built on the idea that for entrepreneurs to continue innovating and sustaining their leadership there must be three elements in place: benchmarking against best practices, recognition of past and current efforts, and continued publicity and public attention.

The awards categories are:

Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards

Awarded to outstanding individuals who have demonstrated entrepreneurial attributes that make them role models for emerging entrepreneurs, including the tenacity and perseverance to continue innovating and making a difference under adverse situations and environments.

Most Promising Entrepreneurs Award

Winners are entrepreneurs that have displayed outstanding accomplishments in the past and present and have the vision to drive their companies as leading businesses in the near future.

Special Achievement Awards

Special achievement awards are given to extraordinary individuals that have shown outstanding ingenuity and recognised as first among equals. Various awards are given to recognise their achievements including:

• Young Entrepreneur of the Year
• Lifetime Achievement Award
